Kathrin Mueller, whose nickname is Jule, is from Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. She began customizing as a child when she helped a friend to sew for her Barbie. But in November 1995, after she got a Barbie as a gift while in the hospital, Jule wanted to sew historical costumes. So the first customized doll was a Sindy as a Lady in the Early Renaissance. She then discovered that there is so much more fashion out there than only historical, which changed her focus, which had originally been to create one doll from each era. She loves to create beaded evening wear, her 'Nearly Vintage' line, and some historical costumes as well. Jule's favorite dolls to use as a canvas are Mackie faced, Midge faced, and red haired. She loves all colors but especially blues and reds. Other hobbies Jule has include swimming, reading, and going out with friends, sitting together talking and coffee drinking.
