Kathy Mroczko lives in Fort Collins, Colorado. She enjoys creating fantasy dolls best, then formal dolls, as long as they are not big poufy dresses. She says, "I really enjoy working with the old mod faces, so if I can find trashed vintage, I am in heaven. Other than that I like Mackies. Just can't stand the bent arm Superstar ones." About her favorite colors to use, Kathy says,"for some reason, I find myself working with silver a lot, but I enjoy just about any bright jewel tone. I especially like novelty fabrics."

Kathy says she got started customizing when she had a bald vintage Midge, that she did her first reroot on. The doll now has pink hair in a regular Midge flip. Then Kathy saw the Batman movie that had Poison Ivy in it, and knew she could do that. After that, Kathy says she was hooked. About her customizing abilities, Kathy says,"I think I am best at taking pieces of patterns and turning them into a whole new outfit." She is a packrat at heart, and is a big collector of jewelry, pottery and other antiques. Kathy also enjoys walking, reading, and gardening.
