Everything took life from two italian boys, Mario Paglino and Gianni Grossi, Magia2000 being a union of their names, ideas, and passion for fashion dolls. They started in 1998, but only from 2000 they showed their creations as Magia 2000. During a beautiful sunny day in a sea town in italy, they discovered again the passion for dolls, and bought a Barbie gift in a magazine! From that moment some years passed by, and they started their exposition at the 1st Italian fashiondolls Convention in Bologna (Italy - 18/11/00), then came many others, twice in Paris Convention, Calenzano, Imola etc. At the ground, there's a big passion for this expression of art that allows us to create an unique, singular role for the doll, in many shapes, using all the handcrafted knowledge, that we always improve in different way. High quality fabrics, collector dolls used, expressively designed jewellery, detailed research of the history clothes, and an extraordinary personal taste for the italian fashion are the elemets for a good doll of Magia 2000. Our motivation in doing a great job, improving our sewing tips, our repaint techniques, brought us to win two awards in 2001: Quality Choice at the Bologna Contest for OOAK Artists, and 1st place at the annual Barbie collector club Italy in Calenzano with great honors. This incredible hobby allows us to set the creativity free, an open window on the fashion, art, design attitude that all of us have inside, and that we love to express in our OOAK dolls. Also on the new book of Jim Faraone, as featured artists in "Ultimate Fashion Doll Makeovers", they have recently attended the Rocky Mountain Mod convention in Denver in June 2002.
