Michael Pisocki

vibrant colors and wild ideas are traits of
Michael Pisocki

and his artwork

Michael A. Pisocki lives in Olathe, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City, KS. As far as customizing is concerned, Michael likes to try everything, especially outrageous dolls. He runs the gamut from fantasy to formal, and is also an anti-sewer. Michael says, "I feel draping outfits on dolls takes just as much talent as sewing." (I have to say, I'm working on my first gluing project at the moment, and it is tough! Also very sculptural.) His favorite face mold is the Teresa face. However, he also says, "I feel that all of the faces are pretty because you can essentially make them your own." Black, red and purple are his favorite colors.

Michael says he got started customizing when his friend Kristie became involved in collecting dolls. He says, "She is a very talented artist and got some ideas about making her own dolls. Together, we shared our areas of expertise (me: rerooting, her: face painting.)" Michael says that giving dolls away to people who appreciate them is the best part of customizing. He states, "I tried selling on Ebay, but just handing over a piece of work is icing on the cake!" His other hobbies include collecting action figures, buying movies, reading and listening to music.

Here's some of his work:

"Lethe" was my first centaur. She is one of a three sister group that I made. I love the 3 sister theme.

This is the first outfit I ever made for a doll. This was even before I met Kristie!
