I'm a native Texan, Houstonian actually. My husband and I bought an old house in Lockhart (about 30 South of Austin) that we are slowly refurbishing. I've been married for 19 years (I got married while still in High School) and we have a daughter born January 6, 2003. Our other "children" include 8 cats and 3 dogs. I have a Fine Arts four-year degree and enjoy applying my knowledge to my doll creations.

I began customizing dolls about 3 years ago. I attended the CustomDolls Convention in Austin and I was permanently hooked. My favorite part of creating dolls is painting their faces. I can spend hours on one doll. My process involves painting and removing paint, almost like sculpting. My designs tend to be monochromatic with the addition of a jewel tone. I enjoy working on a variety of dolls an in many different styles although fantasy is quickly becoming my favorite. I would have never thought that customizing dolls would be such a great passion for me and that I could sell my creations. It's really the best of both worlds. I enjoy working with Barbie as well as Kelly and other small dolls. I love to trade!
